I am SO excited to feature this next classroom! I was so impressed with this happy and colorful classroom!
This is Nikki Jenkins’ room. Nikki teaches Pre-K at Sulphur Bluff School in Texas.
Nikki created a beautiful rainbow themed classroom. Look at that amazing ceiling! The room is just SO cheery! It is perfect for those little kiddos that are coming to school for the very first time! Wouldn’t you feel good about dropping your child off there? The time and effort that she took to create a warm and inviting environment for her students makes a lasting impression on parents!
In Nikki’s words…
I have been teaching in this room for over 5 years now and right before open house my first year I put up the rainbow on the ceiling. Some people might say that a bright and colorful classroom is too busy for small children, but I think it makes them happy to be there and feel inspired and excited to learn! It also makes me happy to be there, I would feel down and out in a boring room. I am very happy that I work at a school that allows me to style my room with no limitations. (I mean I’m sure they have their limits but I have yet to meet them)
I couldn’t agree more!
Nikki will be moving up to 1st grade this next school year. I am so excited to see what she does with her new room!
Well done, Nikki!

I agree this room looks awesome! I am curious how Nikki was able to get around fire codes and regulations. I am a 4th grade teacher in a public school and have very strict codes that we have to follow so it limits much of the decor we can put up.
Love her colorful room!! The bright and cheery design would definitely make me feel welcome as a student.
Love the colors!
I like the ceiling!!
This is such a cute classroom! Love the rainbow colors! So bright and welcoming 🙂
Love the bright happy colors! It looks like a very happy place to be! Love the bright green walls!
Where did you get those cute tables in all the different shapes? Love it!
Totally love the colors…the ceiling, the walls, the funky tables. It’s engaging without being too distracting. I have to ask, also, how they get around the fire code…and have to applaud the district on allowing teachers to spend so much on their classroom. I wanna teach there! 🙂
