Debra White – Boise, Idaho
This classroom makes you say “WOW!” I saw Debra’s room posted on Tommie’s Tools this weekend and couldn’t wait to share it on Schoolgirl Style. Debra used the Dots on Chocolate products from Creative Teaching Press to create this amazing space. The environment feels calm and soothing – wouldn’t you want to be in her class? I especially love the reading “treehouse.” Can you imagine how excited her students will be when they walk into her room?!?!
I had the pleasure of “talking” to Debra through email. She is such a sweet person! I can tell by her classroom, that she is a phenomenal teacher as well.
Debra has an awesome classroom website – check it out…http://www.whiteclassroom.com/
Thank you for sharing, Debra!

i just found your blog and it is precious!! i can not wait to see what other goodies you post!
Kacey
Thank you so much, Kacey! I love your blog too! I am in the process of doing another theme. It should be posted in two weeks, so stay tuned! 🙂
Where did you purchase the carpet? I love the polka dot theme and have the matching borders, etc but have never seen the carpet.
I would love to know also!
Can you please email me details about where you got your treehouse?
The rug I purchased on line. It is called “Sprinkles Brown” rug. I purchased it a couple of years ago, but you may still be able to find it. 🙂
The tree house was a simple project my husband put together. I have had a lot of requests about it, so I will get some instructions from my husband and post again soon. If I could have, I would have had a tree house that was raised even higher, to place their book shelves and more seating underneath. The raised tree house would be too large of a liability in our district though.
Thanks for inquiring. 🙂
Hi, I saw your “loft” in your classroom and was wondering if you could send me the 411 on what your husband bought and did to create it? I’m hoping my husband can do it for my first graders!
Thanks!

Can you tell me where you purchased your seat sacks from and if they held up well? Thank you! This is the best classroom design I have come across. LOVE IT!!!
I Love the tree and the reading nook. How did you build the tree?
Hi Debra,
I would love the logistics for how your husband made your treehouse/loft. Can you share? I want my husband to make something like it for my first graders!
Thanks!
