Well, it’s here. The dreaded 40. I’ve been anticipating this birthday for a while. Deep down, I am scared of aging. I’m scared of everything that comes along with getting old. I just want to freeze this time in my life and stay here forever. I’m in such a good place in my life and I never want it to end.
I’ve reflected about this day a lot recently and decided that I wouldn’t allow myself to feel bad. Instead, I plan to celebrate the person that I’ve become. I’ve learned learned a lot in my 40 years. My friends have told me more than once that I needed to write a book about my life. Boy, would it be GOOD! Some lessons were very hard, so hard that they literally transformed me.
Everything that I have experienced has brought me to this place in my life. I am a better person because of these experiences. Would I go back to 18 years old again? Probably not. I have transformed into a very strong and confident 40 year old. I wouldn’t trade that for anything!
So, to celebrate my 40 FABULOUS years, I’ve decided to throw an online birthday party with all of my Schoolgirl Style friends! For one day (Tuesday, December 4th), everything in my shop will be 40% off! I don’t know about you, but a birthday with lots of good shopping is my idea of a great day!
And just because I am a little cheesy, I had to include my “Happy Song” in this post. Hey, it’s my birthday and I can do whatever I want, right? So, put your hands in the air and sing it with me!
