This beautiful classroom submission is from Kristy Anderson. Kristy is a 3rd grade teacher at Odum Elementary School in Odum, Georgia.
Kristy created a calming and serene classroom using my bird theme! I love how Kristy chose a theme that incorporated her blue furniture and her blue/brown carpet. It is so important to not ignore your existing furniture and carpet. My bird theme was the perfect solution to making her room look coordinated and cohesive!
Fantastic job, Kristy!

It looks wonderful! I agree – the colors are a perfect fit for her room.
It looks perfect! I use to live in Odum, Georgia and right down the road from this school! How cool is that!
Oh, my goodness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s MY classroom!!!! Thanks so much for the compliments, but more importantly thanks for the awesome decorating inspiration you provide us teachers with!!! I couldn’t have done it without you!!!!
Kristy and Melanie ~ so “bright” and “calm!!” Do I see a bulletin board “dedicated” to CCSS – Numbers and Operations?? PLEASE share the “make-up” of this “unique” bulletin board – I am VERY interested and would LOVE to “display” in my classroom. Very “inviting” classroom and definitely promotes “Happy!” Let me know about that bulletin board – I seriously want to put one up in my 1st Grade classroom. Thanks for sharing!! I.love. 🙂
This classroom is actually in my school, and it still looks just as inviting as it did on the first day. It is very inviting, calming, but not over the top. Great job, Kristy!
It reminds me a lot of your room. You inspire us all. 🙂
Melissa
