In one of my earlier posts, I told you about a wonderful lady (Mary) who asked for decorating help with her classroom. Do you remember what colors she had to work with? Purple, yellow, and green…YIKES! From looking at Mary’s pictures of her classroom, I could tell that she was afraid of color. She explained that her home was decorated in all neutral as well.
Mary and I decided that a theme was not necessary, but we would focus on a nice color palette that she could keep for many years. I created three boards on Pinterest for Mary to choose from – this would be her starting point for her classroom.
I would love for you to click on my Pinterest banner and scroll down to look at the preliminary boards for Mary. Which one do you like? I would love to know what you think! Go to my Facebook page and let me know which combination Mary should choose!
A few things to keep in mind…
1. All of the chairs in Mary’s room are purple.
2. Mary’s rugs are all purple.
3. Mary has a big purple couch in her classroom (remember, she inherited all of this!)
4. She has a large shelf running along the wall of her classroom – all of the shelves have yellow and green bins.
I can’t wait to find out what everyone thinks…go take a peek!
Happy Decorating!

I love board #1! Soothing, nice environment for children. I can’t wait to see the end result!
I love board #1 too! 🙂
I like the first one best I don’t like the black dots too busy for me on # 2 and on # 3 I don’t like orange. The purple turqouise lime is a better combo
I have to agree, Tina! 🙂
I like #1 and #2. My friend just did her boards in the black polka dots. Everything she had already went with the polka dots.
It does go with everything for sure!
I love the colors. I am actually trying something similar this year with my “surfing” theme room. Just a warning though. I just got the bins that come in pink, purple, blue & orange with the green handles and they are MUCH brighter than pictured. I’ll have to post pictures on my blog soon for you to get a better look.

Thanks for letting us know! 🙂 Mary is reading this as well!
Thanks Ms M for the basket info; they are bright! I love your “word wave.” Good luck with finishing your set-up. I have enjoyed reading the “votes” and a decision has been made. Thanks to all – especially Melanie!
Thanks Mary. 🙂 I will be posting more pictures of my rooms soon. 🙂 Can’t wait to see yours.
