If you are anything like me, I am sure you are already dreaming of next year’s classroom! I’ve had several emails from girls telling me what theme they plan to purchase for next year!
Well, this had me thinking…normally, I like to surprise all of you with my themes and Classroom Couture packages. After several emails from people asking for specific themes and customization, I thought I better “let the cat out of the bag” and give you the REAL scoop with what I have planned!
Here are the next themes that will be rolling out of the Schoolgirl Style Shop…
March Photo Shoots – Dr. Seuss and Owl Theme
April Photo Shoots – Rainbow Theme (This particular theme is so spectacular! I plan to create polka dot tags in EVERY color and incorporate this into a cohesive and beautiful space. So, if you like polka dots, but you don’t just want to do black and white – here is your chance to create any color combination you would like!)
In addition to my Rainbow Theme, I will roll out an animal print Classroom Couture package AND my Pretty Paisley Classroom Couture package.
May Photo Shoots – Bug/Insect Theme (This theme is so darn cute, I can’t even stand it! I am using the new, adorable bugs from Creative Teaching Press and pairing it with happy yellows and greens to create a bright and fun environment!)
I am also doing a ladybug theme, a bee theme, and a super adorable frog theme!
I am working SO hard to get all of these themes and tags out before the summer begins, so you can begin planning and creating your next theme over your summer vacation!
I currently have all of these themes in huge piles in my dining room. AHHHH!!! This part of my house looks like a HOT mess!
I also have several themes swimming around in my head that I plan to create over the summer. I am not promising anything, since I am known to be a little indecisive, but this is what I am thinking…
1. Ocean/Beach/Luau Theme
2. Camping Theme
3. Safari Theme
Okay, so now you know what to expect!

Jessica @ Mom 4 Real
Those all look awesome!! In your spare time (just kidding) could you add some cute brightly monsters to your list. Maybe not a full blown theme how about a “mini theme”?
Hi Deb!
I actually thought of that theme and have a few items that I have collected for a photo shoot. Hmmmm…maybe Fall? 🙂
I’m going with zebra print and bright green next year.

I can’t wait to see your Seuss theme, I’m so excited. I really love your Circus Theme also. Are you doing primary colors for Seuss? Love ALL your ideas:)
Hi Tomeka! I had to really think about this and try different colors together. Ultimately, I decided on primary colors. I hope you like it! 🙂
I know you don’t typically do all this bloggy stuff…but I just LOVE checking in on all of your new ideas! I had to nominate you, and you can do as you want with it. Even if it’s just a morale boost for you!
Check out my blog for your award!
I nominate you for a Top 10 Blogger Award! I love visiting your blog! Thanks for all of the inspiration.

Oh Mary Beth – you are so sweet! Thank you! Thank you! It certainly is a morale boost for sure! 🙂 It truly means so much that you enjoy my site! xoxo
I love your style! Do you think you will ever do a movie/Hollywood theme?
Thanks so much, Stacey! 🙂 Yes! I have ideas started in my notebook for this theme. I am thinking this might be something I would do next winter.
I can’t wait! That is my classroom theme and I’d love to add some of your style to it.
This all sounds awesome!! I can’t wait to see all the awesome finished products! Thanks for giving us a peek!
I can’t wait to see your Jungle and animal theme stuff! I already have several white poms hanging in my classroom, but they could always be exchanged 🙂 I LOVE your site!
Looking forward to it!!!
You are talking ladybugs, owls, and frogs…all 3 of my teaching partners are taken care of. Any apples on the horizon for me? My rubric is 4 DELICIOUS (juicy and extra sweet), 3 Ripe and ready, 2 Green but growing, 1 Nothing but the core…..red, yellow, green…black to anchor. I would love some fresh stuff! 🙂 anything orchardy….apples, baskets, trees, blue ribbon pies….worms :)….you can do it!
I have thought about apples – I think it can be done beautifully! Ahhhh! I just need more TIME!!!
Ha, I’m laughing right now because sometimes I think about how I’ll decorate for the next school year in Nov. or Dec…I love decorating and being creative pretty much anywhere I can find the time , space or money. :o) Love all your ideas!

Thanks so much!!! 🙂
Your so fabulous, I can’t wait to see what you create next.
Ms. M
You are pretty fabulous yourself! xoxo
Yeah! I have a bug theme and also love your ideas, so I CAN’T WAIT!!
I LOVE your site! For 20 years now, I have had the “Grizzly Bear Class.” I love primary colors, and my classroom is very color-coordinated and cute, but over the years I’ve added a lot of the the cute CTP stick kids. Now my room is less “bear” themed. Do you think it should be one or the other, or do you think it’s okay to have a class name that doesn’t match the classroom decor? I can barely say it aloud but I’m getting rather tired of using the same things, no matter how cute, and would love to do something new. I just don’t want to abandon our class name. Any ideas? I value your opinion!
Okay…I think you need bears. Sorry to burst your bubble! 🙂 I would do a camping theme, if I were you! What a darling way to incorporate your name!
Thanks! I’d love to buy that theme from you! 🙂
I get soooooooo sad when I see new themes come out because I always seem to be ahead of the game! I did a dog theme, and then all of the darling dogs stuff came out. I did a safari theme, and now you’re thinking about doing a package for that! If only I could like what hasn’t been done yet! Anyway, I am planning on doing Chicka Chicka Boom Boom next year. I had hoped to do Olivia the Pig with all black, white, and red, but I couldn’t find anything premade to match. I just saw it in the catalog last week after buying stuff to match chicka boom (even though stuff in those colors is rare, too!). I would absolutely die if you came up with something to match either one of these themes!
Oh Nikki! I am so sorry. I can’t touch anything that has been copyrighted – both of those ideas come from copyrighted books. 🙁 Wish I could help! 🙂
I”m so excited to find your blog! I can’t wait to “borrow” your ideas! I’m not a huge fan of themes…I have bought polka dot border, etc. for the past several years. We do have a beginning of the year theme that the hall participates in. Next school year will be a western/cowboy, etc. theme. I’m ready for a change! Have you incorporated that theme with your designs before? Can’t wait to have time to plan!
I have had so many requests for this theme. I actually have it scheduled for the fall.
I am curious to see what colors the paisley theme would be. I have a lot of soft blue in my room now and am incorporating grey, khaki, and black with it next year. Hobby lobby had the paisley scrapbook paper in these colors and I was leaning toward that print. 🙂
That sounds really cute! My paisley theme is in pinks…
Green apples…the idea of “happy to the core” with green happy apples ( apples that resemble the mcdonals apple) so if you think you are going to do an apple theme i will be ready to buy 🙂
Cute idea…hmmmm…I will see what I can do! 🙂
I love everything I am seeing on your website! Camping Theme, yes definitely do a camping theme! That’s what I was planning for next year! It would be so awesome:)
Thanks for all the inspiration!
Carolee
I am guessing the lady bug theme will be red, white, and black??? I really want to do the lemon chiffon, but I have so many red tubs, caddies, baskets that I hate not to use… But I go a little crazy & everything would have to match!! Lol
I think I’ve decided on an animal print/jungle theme for next year so I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
I think I’m going with animal print/jungle too, so I’m excited to see a safari theme. I teach 6th and we always joke that the middle school is wild like the Serengeti!!
Can’t wait to see the LADY BUGS!!! I have had this theme for a while and it is soooo hard to find cute stuff for it.
Your site is so inspirational! I love your darling themes!
I would love to see you put together items for a jungle/safari theme.
Thanks for all you do!
Thank you so much, Susan! You are in luck! That one is coming in June! 🙂
I will be watching for the beach theme!!! I have had this theme for the past 6 years, but am looking to spice it up! Hoping for lots of aqua, white, and royal blue!
Yay! I think I’ve decided on doing a polka dot theme for next year, but in blue and white. 🙂 Can’t wait to see your new polka dot options!
I am working on it right now, Ali! 🙂
I just got kicked out of my HUGE room into a pigeon hole for next year. I intend to keep my ocean theme and I am praying you have the ocean theme done by August! I just found your blog today and I was upset about moving until I read your whole blod and can’t wait to minimalize and stick with all your great ideas!
Thank you,
Kelly
your new biggest fan I have told all my friends about this site
Kelly, that is so sweet – thank you so much! I will make sure it is done by August!!! 🙂
Cannot wait to see your “Dr. Seuss” room. I changed schools after
26 years and decided to do another theme. I have Dr. Seuss in my room now
and I keep looking at it saying it needs more! When will yours be ready?
The new rainbow theme is super cute….I cannot wait to see the safari theme! 🙂
Yay!! Safari, animal print, jungle!! 🙂 Can’t wait to see what your amazing & creative mind puts together. Thank you!!!!
I love all the idea on your website. This year I had a bubble gum theme. I have a collection of vintage gumball machines. I was wondering what else I could add to my theme. My door was a huge gumball machine and the gumballs had the students name on them. My sign said “Wel Gum to Second Grade”. I used color dot border. I want to have an awesome reading area and need some ideas. Please help me…

I have thought about a food/cooking theme for next year in my first grade classroom. Something different. Any ideas you could share?
I did a chef/cooking theme a couple of years ago for my third graders. Chef hats for locker tags and name cards; Top Chef was student of the day, ApronStrings for the newsletter. Recipe for Success for discipline chart. The studnts loved it! The classroom was Mrs. Schwab’s Cooking School. Wooden spoons with each child’s name in a mixing bowl for calling/choosing students…….it was fun and so different.
I always do a Safari theme each year but I would love more ideas to make my classroom more fun and inviting for next year.
I love frogs…when do you expect this theme to be ready. I love all of your ideas!!
I am looking forward to the camping theme! I want to start with year with that theme!
I have a Curious George theme in my room and would love to incorporate some of your adorable ideas! Do you have any interest in doing a monkey/Curious George theme?
I’m moving back to first grade after 6 years in 2nd, 5th, & 6th. I have a collection of cowboy and cowgirl things that I will be getting out of storage. Do you have a cowboy collection? If I remember right, I have borders in red bandana, blue denim, and blue gingham. I just found a rustic wooden bench at a garage sale, it will fit in perfectly! Would love any help! Thanks so much for sharing your ideas! You are so creative!
I am doing a Western theme in the fall. Sounds like you are off to a good start though! 🙂
How about a flower garden theme? I love your site by the way!!!
Cannot wait to see if you do the Ocean theme….that would be perfect for our school wide theme and my room would be different than all the others!!! Have fun!
Your site is amazing!!! I am moving from the classroom to the library. I have always decorated my classroom to go witht he school theme. This year it is ocean!! I am mainly doing a beach theme with possibly some animals. I don’t have any bulletine boards but lots of wall space. Any suggestions on cute ideas?? I love all your ideas!! Thanks for putting them all together and blogging about them!! Have a wonderful summer.
I am looking for a beach/luau/tropical theme!! I can’t wait to see what you come up with!!!
I am also looking for a beach/luau/tropical theme. Please please please!
It’s coming!!! 🙂
I have been considering using the campong theme or owls in my classroom next year. I bought the Hoot n Hollar cartridge to use with my Cricut, but just can’t seem to get going. When do you think you will have these themes available? My classroom is a boring beige, so I need color. I am starting my 24th year, and I need some inspiration and excitment!! Love your ideas. Thanks so much!
*camping ;-))))
I wonder if you might give your ideas on a sweet treat theme? Thank you in advance if so:)
I have the Poppin Patterns Dots on Black. Any suggestions for things I could put with that?
I cannot wait to see what you come up with for a dr. seuss theme! I have a few cat in the hat decorations and I have been trying to come up with some cute ideas on how to use them.
Any idea when the frog theme will be posted? Want to spice up my current froggy classroom style!
Hello!
I am just wondering if the Ladybug theme has been done yet? I may just not be able to find it…. 🙂 Love your work!
Hi Autumn! This is coming out in April! 🙂
